Friesan Fire, son of Belmont Stakes winner A.P. Indy, swept the Fair Grounds' stakes races for 3-year-olds � the LeComte, Risen Star and Louisiana Derby and was the 7-2 Kentucky Derby favorite but he failed to fire and finished 18th of 19.
