Just weeks ago mountaineer talked about closing down for the winter months of Jan -Feb considering even March....But they have just announced that Mountaineer Race Track applied to the West Virginia Racing Commission for 233 days in 2007. We will be dark from only January 1 through January 19, 2007....I'm sure we will get cancelled every other night or only run 3 or 4 races a night but its better than nothing!...
