Hey CLIFF,
How prevalent is race fixing in harness? We all know harness is notorious for boat races, I don't know if that's still the case.. what tracks can we rely on to have miminal fixing going on?
JERRY ITS NOT BAD AT ALL THESE DAYS ,,, MOST STATES REALLY CRACKED DOWN ,, BUT I WILL TELL YOU TO STAY AWAY FROM TRACKS IN P.A. ,,, TAKE MY WORD FOR IT ,,, P.A. ,,,STILL GOT A WAYS TO GO WHEN INFORCING RULES THERE ,, THINGS GO ON THERE THAT WOULD MAKE YOU LOL... LIKE GIVING HORSES MILKSHAKES RIGHT IN THE BARN AREA JUST BEFORE THE RACE,, THIS IS TRUE,, TAKE MY WORD FOR IT,,CLIFF
of course Steve, I know what your views are... but CLIFF here is an owner ya know - he's in "the game" - at least, we know where not to waste our time handicapping coz theyy are milkshaking the horse anyway...
JERRY IF YOU DONT THINK MILKSHAKING DONT GO ON IN Thoroughbred RACING ? THINK AGAIN, ANYONE WITH A STEADY HAND A FUNNEL AND SOME BACONSODA CAN DO IT,, IT IS USUALLY DONE ON THE WAY TO THE TRACK ON RACE DAY IN THE BACK OF THE HORSE TRAILER AND MOST OF THE TIME THE DRIVER NEVER KNOWS ABOUT ,,, IT IS THE HARDEST THING TO STOP IN HORSERACING.
Well lets see and it happens in all or most Sports, So the best we can hope for is that the clean ones win!!
But you know no matter how much they enforce a clean up there will always be the one looking for that big payout, Lets not forget the trainers that place unfit horses in races to draw $$$ as well.
Milkshakes
What next? Im sure they will think of something
and yes it happens in Thorougbread as well as Harness.
I agree with ya there CLIFF... that it also happens with tbred racing.
Who should be responsible for protecting the horses, and the integrity of the sport? The racetracks? Owners?
IN FACT, ANDREW BEYER, in calling the last Ky Derby a DUD... "implied" that GIACOMO was juiced or something to that effect. That was uncalled for. My opinion is he is a sore loser...
I too think harness racing is fixed and more so than any other sport! I wouldn't bet a single dollar on that game. I would also appreciate the harness picks being posted in the harness thread too. TY Guys
