Immediately after the race, Garrett O’Rourke, Juddmonte Farms manager in Lexington, Kentucky, confirmed that Champs Elysees will be retired to their stud, Banstead Manor in England, rather than go on to the Breeders’ Cup Turf on November 7 at Santa Anita Park, which today’s victory offered, as part of the Breeders’ Cup “Win and You’re In” Challenge.

Mushka Wins The Juddmonte Spinster Stakes By DQ at Keeneland October 11

SBG Global RacebookBrushwood Stable’s Mushka, ridden by jockey Kent Desormeaux, was awarded the victory in the $500,000 Juddmonte Spinster Stakes following the disqualification of Proviso at Keeneland on Sunday, October 11.

As part of the Breeders’ Cup Challenge, Sprinter Stakes winner Mushka automatically qualifies for the Breeders’ Cup Ladies’ Classic on November 6 at Santa Anita.

With Mushka rallying on the outside, Proviso, under jockey Rajiv Maragh suddenly ducked to the outside approaching the sixteenth pole, interfering with her on-rushing rival. Proviso held a 1 1/4-length advantage at the finish of the 1 1/8-mile Sprinter Stakes timed in 1:49.01.
