United Nations Stakes Entries at Monmouth Park July 4
Independence Day weekend at Monmouth Park is headed by the 65th running of the $750,000 United Nations Stakes, one of the first two 2009 Breeders’ Cup Challenge “Win and You’re In” races in North America.
Raced at 1 3/8 miles on turf, Monmouth Park’s United Nations Stakes winner will have a berth in the Breeders’ Cup Turf field as part of the Breeders’ Cup Challenge. United Nations entries with jockeys and weight line up as follows:
Banrock ridden by jockey Joe Bravo, 118 lbs.
Strike a Deal ridden by jockey C. C. Lopez, 118 lbs.
Brass Hat ridden by jockey Stewart Elliott, 118 lbs.
Spice Route ridden by jockey Eddie Castro, 120 lbs.
