Independence Day weekend at Monmouth Park is headed by the 65th running of the $750,000 United Nations Stakes, one of the first two 2009 Breeders’ Cup Challenge “Win and You’re In” races in North America.
Raced at 1 3/8 miles on turf, Monmouth Park’s United Nations Stakes winner will have a berth in the Breeders’ Cup Turf field as part of the Breeders’ Cup Challenge

- Strike a Deal ridden by jockey C. C. Lopez, 118 lbs.
- Brass Hat ridden by jockey Stewart Elliott, 118 lbs.
- Spice Route ridden by jockey Eddie Castro, 120 lbs.
- Court Vision ridden by jockey Garrett Gomez, 122 lbs.
- Lauro ridden by jockey Jorge Chavez, 118 lbs.
- Presious Passion ridden by jockey Elvis Trujillo, 120 lbs.
- Wesley ridden by jockey Richard Migliore, 118 lbs.
- Better Talk Now ridden by jockey Jeremy Rose, 118 lbs.
