Midnight Cry Stable’s Einstein race against 7 rivals Saturday as he attempts to become the first horse to win three consecutive Grade I races on 3 surfaces in the 28th running of the $600,00 Stephen Foster Handicap at Churchill Downs June 13.

  2. Macho Again ridden by jockey Robby Albarado, 117 lbs.
  3. Einstein ridden by jockey Julien Leparoux, 124 lbs.
  4. Arson Squad ridden by jockey Garrett Gomez, 118 lbs.
  5. Researcher ridden by jockey Calvin Borel, 118 lbs.
  6. Bullsbay ridden by jockey Jeremy Rose, 117 lbs.
  7. Asiatic Boy ridden by jockey Alan Garcia, 122 lbs.
  8. Finallymadeit ridden by jockey E O Nunez, 118 lbs.

Trained by Helen Pitts-Blasi, Einstein will again be ridden by jockey Julien Leparoux who guided Einstein to victory in the March 7 Santa Anita Handicap over the synthetic Pro-Ride surface and the May 2 Woodford Reserve Turf Classic at Churchill Downs.

Einstein, a 7-year-old son of 1985 Kentucky Derby winner Spend a Buck, will break from post position 3 in the 1 1/8-mile main track race. Boasting a career mark of 25-11-3-2 with earnings of $2,609,904, Einstein ran second in last year’s Stephen Foster behind Horse of the Year Curlin.

Jockey Alan Garcia rides Asiatic Boy, who will break from post position seven and carry 122 pounds.

The Stephen Foster Handicap is the 10th race in Churchill Downs’s June 13 horse racing program. Stephen Foster Handicap post time is 5:29 pm.
