Seven race horses will run in Saturday’s 56th running of the $200,000 Peter Pan Stakes (gr. II) May 9 at Belmont Park, home of the Belmont Stakes 2009.

Elizabeth J. Valando’s Hello Broadway is graded stakes placed, but has yet to win. Race horse trainer Barclay Tagg will try racing him with blinkers, as he returns to dirt off a PolyTrack victory at Keeneland on April 10. Jockey Garrett Gomez has the mount on Hello Broadway in the Peter Pan Stakes.
Sequoia Racing’s Imperial Council finished fifth behind I Want Revenge in the Wood Memorial at Aqueduct last April 4. Prior to that, Imperial Council placed second in the March 7 Gotham Stakes at Aqueduct. Jockey Edgar Prado will be riding Imperial Council for race horse trainer Shug McGaughey.
The Peter Pan Stakes is the 9th race in Belmont Park’s May 9 horse racing program. Peter Pan Stakes post time is 5:17 pm.
