When it comes to horse racing, Horses Wild has got you covered.
The colt Musket Man has not worked in the morning since May 12 when he was getting ready for the Preakness.
“He’ll breeze either Saturday or Sunday,” race horse trainer Derek Ryan said. “We’ll see where we go from there.”
The son of Yonaguska owned by Eric Fein and Vic Carlson, Musket Man, is scheduled to work his way to the $1-million Haskell Invitational (G1) on August 2 at Monmouth.
Derek Ryan’s original plan was to work the colt one-mile between races sometime in July as his final Haskell prep. However, he has not completely ruled out getting a race into Musket Man if he can find a suitable spot before the Haskell at 1 1/8 miles.
