Tickets for the 2009 Breeders’ Cup World Championships on November 6-7 at Santa Anita Park are now available. General Admission tickets for both Breeders’ Cup days were reduced from last year’s $20 to $10.
The Breeders’ Cup has reduced ticket prices across the board and will offer single and 2-day options throughout the facility. Reserved grandstand ticket prices range from $40-$235 on Breeders’ Cup day Friday and from $55-$335 on Breeders’ Cup day Saturday.
“We believe that setting the General Admission price at $10 for 2009 is another step in our efforts to ensure that sports fans in Southern California can experience our World Championships in person at a very reasonable cost,” said Peter Land, Breeders’ Cup Chief Marketing Officer.
“Oak Tree and the Breeders’ Cup believe that this year, more than ever, the two days of world championship racing should be affordable and accessible to all,” said Sherwood Chillingworth, Executive Vice President of the Oak Tree Racing Association. “Ten dollars for a day at the Breeders’ Cup at beautiful Santa Anita is one of the all-time great values in American sports.”
The Breeders’ Cup consists of 14 Breeders’ Cup races with $25.5 million in purses. Horse racing fans can purchase Breeders’ Cup tickets online or by calling 1-877-TIX-4CUP.
