Yellow Ribbon Stakes Entries at Santa Anita Park September 27
A topnotch field of 10 entered the $400,000 Yellow Ribbon Stakes for fillies and mares at 1 1/4 miles on turf with race horse trainer Todd Pletcher’s Wait a While the one to beat. The 5-year-old gray mare Wait a While won the Yellow Ribbon by 4 1/2 lengths two years ago and is 2-for-2 over the Santa Anita turf.
As a 2008 Breeders’ Cup Challenge event, the Yellow Ribbon winner will be part of the Breeders’ Cup field for the October 24 Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf to be held at Santa Anita Park.
