Indian Sun came in 5th, 3 1/2 lengths behind the victorious Into Mischief, in CashCall Futurity (gr. I) at Hollywood Park last December. Jockey Rafael Bejarano will be teaming up for the first time with Amerman Racing’s Coast Guard who broke his maiden on December 29 when stretched out to a 1 mile route distance by trainer David Hofmans.
Eclipse Award winner Garrett Gomez will be aboard Todd Pletcher trainee Meal Penalty who won the first two starts of his career back east but has not fared as well in three West Coast starts. Japanese-bred Reflect Times, owned by Koji Maeda and trained by John Shirreffs, will be ridden by jockey Mike Smith on Saturday’s Robet B. Lewis Stakes.
