Three-year-old horses racing in Oaklawn Park’s Rebel Stakes this Saturday with jockeys and weight:
Isabull ridden by jockey Timothy Doocy carries 115 lbs.
Sierra Sunset ridden by jockey Christopher Emigh, 119 lbs.
Stone Bird ridden by jockey Joe Johnson, 117 lbs.

King’s Silver Son ridden by jockey Shaun Bridgmohan, 115 lbs.
Anak Nakal ridden by jockey Joe Bravo, 119 lbs.

Carrying top weight of 122 pounds, Z Fortune has won the Lecomte Stakes last January 12 and was runner-up to fellow Steve Asmussen trainee Pyro, one of the leading Kentucky Derby contenders, in the Risen Star Stakes at the Fair Grounds. Eclipse Award winning jockey Garrett Gomez will be riding Z Fortune in Saturday’s Rebel Stakes.
Horse trainer Nick Zito’s Anak Nakal won the Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes (gr. II) by half a length last November, but was a disappointing 8th in the Fountain of Youth Stakes (gr. II), his 3-year-old debut, at Gulfstream Park February 24. The Victory Gallop colt will be ridden by jockey Joe Bravo this Saturday at Oaklawn Park.
Both Z Fortune and Anak Nakal likely have enough graded stakes earnings to get into the Kentucky Derby on May 3 at Churchill Downs, but will be looking to solidify their positions on March 15 at the Rebel Stakes.
In his last out, Sierra Sunset placed second behind Denis of Cork in the February 18 Southwest Stakes at Oaklawn Park. Jockey Christopher Emigh will be riding and they will break from post position 2.
The Rebel Stakes is scheduled as the 10th race in Oaklawn Park’s 11-race program on March 15. Estimated local post time is 5:45 pm.
