Stardom Bound, a dazzling 4 1/2-length winner of the Del Mar Debutante (G1) in her last start, will be the center of attention in Oak Tree at Santa Anita Park’s $250,000 Oak Leaf Stakes for 2-year-old fillies at 1 1/16 miles. Stardom Bound’s dominant victory in the Del Mar Debutante failed to scare off the opposition. The Tapit filly, trained by Christopher Paasch for Charles Cono, will meet 11 in the Oak Leaf with jockey Mike Smith in the saddle for a fourth time following the win and a pair of fast-closing seconds.
