Go for Wand Handicap at Saratoga Race Course July 26

Eight fillies and mares will race in the 3rd Breeders’ Cup Challenge event in Saratoga, the $250,000 Go for Wand Handicap (gr. I) on July 26 where the winner will be one of the Breeders’ Cup entries for the October 24 Breeders’ Cup Ladies’ Classic (formerly known as Breeders’ Cup Distaff) to be held at Santa Anita Park.

Raced at 1 1/8 miles, Saratoga’s Go for Wand Handicap field with jockeys and weight line up as follows:

Ginger Punch ridden by jockey Rafael Bejarano carries 124 lbs.
Inside Passage ridden by jockey Eibar Coa, 113 lbs.
Indescribable ridden by jockey Kent Desormeaux, 115 lbs.
Moon Catcher ridden by jockey Edgar Prado, 115 lbs.
Copper State ridden by jockey Shaun Bridgmohan, 114 lbs.
Runway Rosie ridden by jockey Rajiv Maragh, 114 lbs.
Over Under ridden by jockey Robby Albarado, 113 lbs.
Spring Waltz ridden by jockey Javier Castellano, 117 lbs.

The Go for Wand Handicap is the 9th race in Saratoga’s July 26 horse racing program. Go for Wand Handicap post time is 5:15 pm.
