Evening Attire Wins Greenwood Cup Stakes at Philadelphia Park & An Entry In The Breeders’ Cup Marathon
Evening Attire, ridden by jockey Jose Espinoza, won the $250,000 Greenwood Cup Stakes Saturday, July 19, at Philadelphia Park and became part of the Breeders’ Cup field for the October 25 Breeders’ Cup Marathon to be held at Santa Anita Park.
Trained by Patrick Kelly, Evening Attire covered 1 1/2 miles in 2:29.90 and paid $6.40, $3.20 and $2.60. Phil the Power, under jockey Anthony Black, returned $13.80 and $5.60. Barcola with jockey Kendrick Carmouche paid $2.10 to show.
