Raced at 1 1/16 miles, Hollywood Park’s Dahlia Handicap field of fillies and mares with jockeys and weight:

  5. Place de L’Etoile (IRE) ridden by jockey Joe Talamo, 111 lbs.
  6. Gotta Have Her ridden by jockey Richard Migliore, 115 lbs.
  7. Sensational Love ridden by jockey Michael Baze, 112 lbs.
  8. Valbenny (IRE) ridden by jockey Alex Solis, 117 lbs.
  9. Lady Digby ridden by jockey Garrett Gomez, 118 lbs.
  10. Don’t Forget Faith ridden by jockey Alonso Quinonez, 110 lbs.

Five-year-old mare trained by Christophe Clement, Vacare carries top weight of 122 pounds. Vacare has won 7 of 13 starts and earned $1,123,706. Among Vacare’s victories include the Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup (gr. I) at Keeneland at 3, the First Lady Stakes (gr. II) at Keeneland at 4, and the Palomar Handicap (gr. II) at Del Mar this year. Jockey Jose Valdivia, Jr., will be riding Vacare this Sunday.

The Dahlia Handicap is the eighth race and is the highlight of Hollywood Park’s December 21 horse racing program. Dahlia Handicap post time is 4:05 pm.
