The 7-year-old gelded son of Distorted Humor, Commentator, won 3 of 5 career Saratoga starts entering the Whitney Handicap where he broke sharply, got position just off the rail and settled him into a comfortable rhythm that produced fractions of 24.16, 47.73, 1:11.80 and 1:37.02.
“This is a good illustration to anyone — don’t ever give up,” said race horse trainer Nick Zito, who won this race with Commentator in 2005.
