C Karma Wins Natalma Stakes at Woodbine & An Entry In The Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf
Pamela Edel’s C Karma, ridden by jockey Jono Jones, wins the $167,500 Natalma Stakes at Woodbine on Sunday, September 14.
As part of the 2008 Breeders’ Cup “Win & You’re In” Challenge, the Natalma Stakes winner C Karma will be part of the Breeders’ Cup field for the new Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf on October 24 at Santa Anita Park.
Trained by Gregory De Gannes, C Karma covered 1 mile on turf in 1:40.74 and paid $11.70, $6.20 and $4.40. Freyga, under jockey Justin Stein, placed second and returned $28.80 and $13. Koonunga Hill with jockey Constant Montpellier aboard came in third and paid $6.30 to show.
The 2-year-old daughter of Exchange Rate, C Karma now has a career record of 2 wins in 5 starts and increased her bankroll to $161,100.
