Big Glen, trained by Frank Brothers and ridden by Rene Douglas, beat Mark Casse’s Miner’s Claim by a neck in the $100,000 Rushaway Stakes, a 2008 Kentucky Derby prep race, at Turfway Park Saturday, March 22.
Ridden by Rene Douglas, Big Glen covered 1 1/16 miles in 1:44.55 and paid $8.40, $4.20 and $2.80. Miner’s Claim under jockey Patrick Husbands returned $3.60 and $2.60. Icabad Crane with jockey Edgar Prado showed $2.80.
