Archipenko won the draw for the Arlington Million, taking the No. 1 post position for Saturday’s race at Arlington Park. Race horse Archipenko has raced in the Middle East and Europe so far this year. Archipenko has three wins going into the weekend race as a favorite in the Arlington Million.
Mount Nelson from Ireland drew the No. 2 spot. Mount Nelson is coming off a win in the Group I Eclipse Stakes at Sandown Park in England.
The Arlington Million is the 10th race in Arlington Park’s August 9 horse racing program. Arlington Million post time is 4:44 pm. Included in its undercard are: the $750,000 Beverly D. Stakes (gr. I) at 1 3/16 miles on turf for fillies and mares; and the $400,000 Secretariat Stakes (gr. I) at 1 1/4 miles on turf for 3-year-olds and up.
