CFB 2009: 29-33, -10.3*

I narrowed the card down to the three games I like the best as I continue looking to buck this CFB losing streak. Also it would be nice if the Gambling Gods could allowing to me to win an NBA game by a point or two rather than continue to lose them that way. Five of the six losses are by two points or less. Today is a new and lets have some fun & when some money.

I have this one with an edge on Penn State by 2 points which gives Ohio State an edge of three points, and a team with this edge that also has a statistical edge in two major offensive categories that I track are 6-2 ATS when listed as a single digit underdog this year. Over each teams last three games they both have played about even in terms of stats with Penn State getting 6.5 O-YPP & allowing 3.9 D-YPP. Ohio State is @ 6.3 O-YPP & 3.8 D-YPP.

The favorite has won three straight in the series which is the longest current streak in the series that that has happened. Penn State is 0-9 ATS as a home favorite when coming in off a at least three SU & ATS wins, and 0-15 ATS since 92' when playing a team that is allowing 12 PPG or less on the season which is what Ohio State is doing. Not to mention the Buckeyes are 9-2 ATS as dogs vs. PSU.

Stanford +7.5

I have this game as a Duck edge of 4, and that gives Stanford an edge of three points. The Cardinal does have a major statistical edge in one area of this matchup and when that edge is tied into this line value the dog is 5-2 ATS so far this season. Up until last year Oregon has owned this series ATS wise, but the Cardinal came to play in Eugene and was able to cover as a DD dog only trailing by three at halftime. The Cardinal are getting 6.8 YPP on offense over their last three games, and should catch an Oregon team in a letdown position after last weeks big win. The Ducks have traveled twice in conference play and gotten it done easily, and so that will also give them some complacency.

Play against conference road chalk when they are coming off a home SU home dog win while going over the total (30-10-1 ATS since 1985). Oregon is 0-5 ATS as a conference favorite of 7 to 9.5 when coming off a ATS dog win, and Stanford is 6-0 ATS as a conference dog of 7 to 9.5 when coming in off a SU win. The Cardinal are also 15-4 ATS as a PAC 10 dog when coming in off a SU & ATS home win as a favorite.

Navy +13

I have this line set at Notre Dame +7 and that give the Middies a line edge of six. With QB Dobbs listed as probable in this game I feel we'll see a much better effort this week than we did against Temple the week prior. I feel the Irish are still over valued and the more they win SU the better the value becomes on fading them as favorites. I had Navy in week 1 over Ohio State & I think all will still remember how close they came to pulling it off in the Buckeyes house as 16 point dogs. So South Bend won't be a problem here. In their last three games Notre Dame has given up 6 yards per play on defense, and I think Navy can exploit this eating away some time and keeping the game close for four quarters.

After playing two games at home Navy is 18-5 ATS as an underdog, and 25-10 ATS as a road dog when off a SU home loss. The Irish are 1-7 ATS as a favorite vs. Navy when off an ATS loss, and are 2-12 ATS off two straight games as a listed favorite while going under in both contest. Play on a road dog of 10 to 13.5 points when that dog is off a SU & ATS home loss as a favorite while also going over the total (17-6 ATS since 98').
